Gerry Colvin 9 March, 2021
Gerry Colvin is a Stratford-upon-Avon based songwriter and performer. An extraordinarily gifted lyricist and tunesmith, his acclaim has led to him being hired as a “jobbing” songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was based for a while. He has co-written songs with Alison Moyet (he has a credit on her album Hoodoo); and he has supported many acts on tours, including Status Quo and The Smiths (he can count Morrissey among his fans)…
He’s is very well-known in Banbury, as he has played Cropredy several times (his band was voted best act at Cropredy in 2009), as well as at other venues locally. He’s co-Patron of Banbury Folk Club (and the Club’s own annual festival that is held every year in Banbury Town Centre).
